If there are any amendments to be made to the order please ensure these are made to us by email within 24 hours of placing the order.

If we have not been contacted within the 24 hour period we shall assume that all the details are correct.

Most of our goods are made to order and if for some reason there will be a delay in the supply of these goods you will be notified and given the option to wait or cancel the order and receive a full refund within 14 days. Please be aware of the uniqueness of our prints. Due to the fact that all of our fabrics are printed by hand in our studio and we make our own natural dye pastes, the colour tones can vary between batches. You are advised to contact us before ordering if you require an exact sample of the colour for your product/fabric.We only print on natural fibres and it is common for there to be slight imperfections in the weave of the cloth and occasional slubs, these are not considered a fault.

Order lead times

If any order is out of stock we will notify you and advise you of the anticipated delivery date. Made to Measure orders, we aim to deliver within six weeks. Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank Holidays are classed as non-working days.

b.Pricing & payment

The total purchase price, including VAT, delivery and other charges if any, will be displayed in the shopping basket prior to confirming your order. When your order is received we shall confirm by email your order details. Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability to makes sure that they are accurate at the time of going online. Madder Cutch & Co. reserves the right to periodically update prices on the website, which cannot be guaranteed for any period of time.

Delivery times

We use Royal Mail and Parcel Force to deliver your order.
Please note that all orders (other than samples) will need to be signed for by the recipient.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the correct product has been delivered to any other third party such as an upholsterer or curtain maker.

If there is no one in to receive your delivery, the delivery driver will leave a calling card It is the buyer’s responsibility to check for any damages

Cancellation and returns

We're confident that you'll be happy with the quality of your purchase but in the event that you're not, we'll always work very hard to resolve any problems.

We inspect very thoroughly all bespoke products leaving our print studio and are confident that you will receive excellently made goods.
We cannot accept returns in situations where we have been given incorrect measurements.

You may cancel a contract to purchase a product or products from us at anytime within 14 working days after the day you received the order. Please email us at info@maddercutchandco.com to give us written notice and instructions for the safe return of the unwanted items. All goods must be returned to us within 14 days and in their original condition and packaging. Items received later than this will only be accepted for return at our discretion and if accepted will be refunded as a credit note only. Please note that goods being sent back to Madder Cutch & Co. are your responsibility until they reach us. We cannot be held responsible for anything that gets lost or damaged in transit. Delivery charge and returned postage will only be refunded should an item be faulty. Any Madder Cutch & Co. products that have been made specifically to your requirements will be exempt from standard cancellation rights, unless faulty.

d. Care of fabric

Important information: FADING

Fading caused by sunlight is always possible, we print with plant dyes and advise that you avoid placing the fabrics in strong or direct sunlight. The effects ON CURTAINS can be minimised by using a good lining and interlining, also by choosing a different fabric for the leading edges of the curtains. We feel a blackout lining or medium interline is the best treatment both aesthetically and to ensure your fabrics stand the test of time. Swapping the curtains over from time to time helps to keep the fabric exposed to the sunlight to a minimum.

Beware of using spray cleaners in rooms with our fabrics as they can cause fading, blues are especially vulnerable. this is because there are often chemicals in the sprays, including bleaching agents which can rise up in the air and settle on the folds of blinds etc. this is often the cause of fading of fabric which is facing into a room. we cannot be held liable for fading of this kind.

ALSO fabrics can fade if exposed to GAS from heaters, boilers and cookers, BLUES ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE.


MAKING THE BEST OF YOUR LINEN: Please expect slight creasing as this is the nature of linen and allow curtains to hang for a few weeks for the creasing to reduce. Please only dry clean our linens. Washing my result in a loss of colour or shrinkage.

Prices are subject to change. We will be pleased to quote the current price immediately prior to an order being placed.

Whilst we do make every effort to provide you with the most accurate, up to date information, in the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical or techinal error Madder Cutch & Co. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price we will charge the lower amount and ship to you. If an items correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel your order and notify you of the price error and order cancellation. You will of course have an opportunity to purchase the item at the correct price if you so wish.

Madder Cutch & Co. shall not be held responsible for any losses caused by delay or disruption to our service that are resultant from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

All goods supplied by us are supplied on the condition that our liability for any fault or defect in the quality, condition, description or fitness for any purpose is to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of the particular goods.

It is the customers or their agent’s responsibility to check that they have received the correct design and colour before handing it into any curtain maker/upholsterer or further processing. Mistakes in labelling can happen. Once cut or handed on to a third party we cannot accept responsibility for any errors which occasionally do occur. That condition supersedes any conflicting term submitted to us and all other liability whether statutory or otherwise is excluded.

5. Products

  • We reserve the right to withdraw items from our range at any time without prior notification.

  • There is a 1 metre minimum order length for fabric. We only offer part metres on orders greater than 5m. If you would like an order in a part metre over this amount please contact us at info@maddercutchandco.com

  • The buyer must satisfy themselves that any product supplied by Madder Cutch & Co. is fit for the purpose for which it is purchased prior to ordering.

  • Curtains and blinds must be checked prior to cutting and/or hanging.

  • The measurements of windows and doors made by the customer or his/heragent,and provided to the Company is not the responsibility of the Company for accuracy.

  • Colours can vary batch to batch so please always request a sample whether you are matching up with a previous order or starting from scratch.

  • All orders not confirmed in writing are at the customer’s own risk.

6. Payment

  • Payment in full for all orders is required before goods are despatched.

  • Once full payment is received, and goods are despatched they become the property of the buyer.

7. Delivery

i) The full delivery address must be given when the order is placed.

In the unlikely event that there is any damage, please DO NOT accept delivery, DO NOT sign the delivery sheet; instead ask the driver for a damaged freight report which will need your signature. Contact us as soon as possible.
Goods are not covered by transit insurance once you have accepted delivery. Madder Cutch & Co. sends out goods with Parcelforce on a 24/48 hour service, if the goods are delayed in transit it is beyond our control and postage refunds will not be given.
